Cheeky Charlie

Charlie is back for a second holiday

Here is an example of a cat in our care:

Charlie is fully vaccinated and has his vaccine card to prove this. Charlie’s owners brought his vaccination card along with him, I kept the card throughout his stay to have as a reference. He is also Fully up to date with flea and Worm treatment.

He is neutered which a requirement for a stay at Tom kitten. Charlie had recently had his surgery but was fully healed before staying at the cattery.

Charlie is in good health, he has a shiny coat and eyes, his digestion is working as expected, Charlie has good appetite. There are no signs of tissue damage such as wounds and his mobility is perfectly fine.

His owners provided his food but we can also provide food if needed. Charlie had half a pouch of wet food in the morning and evening, along with dry food throughout the day. Charlie was also allowed some treats such as dreamies. We are happy to provide treats such as dreamies, cat milk or tuna if your cat would like this.

Charlie has fresh water daily sourced from our filtered bore hole just next to the cattery. This water is natural and has no nasty chlorine.

We provided all of Charlie’s bedding , cat scratcher, toys , cat nip, treats, bowls, litter and litter tray. Although Charlie did have some of his own toys in his suitcase too!  You are more than welcome to bring your cats’ favourite toy or blanket to make them feel more at home.

Charlie is only young therefore has a little bladder , his litter tray is changed throughout the day , last thing at night and first thing in the morning. Cats at Tom kitten should never have to use a dirty litter tray. If you cat requires more than one litter tray that is absolutely fine. My bengals are super fussy! They like deep litter and need options.

Charlie loves a dreamies cat treat, also to have catnip sprayed on his toys. Charlie loves to climb all over you , he seems more interested in my hoodie tie strings then his toys!

Charlie is full of life & the friendliest little guy, he is there at your feet as soon as you enter his room . He is full of beans and has more energy than a power plant.  He loves to play and will eat for England, I hid treats around his room to keep him occupied , like a little treasure hunt.

Charlie arrived safely in a secure cat carrier which was kept at the cattery during his stay. Charlie’s owners completed his booking form and brought it along with him.

Charlie doesn’t need any medication while he is at Tom kitten but we can give medication if your cat needs it.  We have a fridge to store any medication that needs to be kept cool.

The temperature has dropped recently  but Charlie’s pen has its own heater which can be set at a desired temperature to keep him cosy.

During the day Charlie has had the radio on for a few hours, other than that Charlie can just listen to the wild birds outside.  We are not next to any roads therefore no road traffic noise, so overall the cattery is very peaceful and relaxing.

Overall Charlie is an absolute legend & we love him! He has stayed with us a couple times now and is booked in again later in the year, I feel I have a bond with him now and can’t wait for him to be back. I adore how mischievous and happy he is.

Daily Behavior Record

Cheeky Charlie arrived on Friday august 27th at midday.

Charlie stole my heart from day one and is just divine.

When Charlie arrived his owner whom was waring a beautiful sparky headband had packed him a suitcase with all his toys and food.

Charlie did not seem nervous at all, and certainly had no loss of appetite. He is a cheeky chap who loves a cuddle and is always happy to see me. He seems quiet and settled, unbothered by anything.

28th Charlie is eating for England , he is full of life and a happy chap today. He also had a good play this afternoon.

29th Charlie has eaten up all his breakfast and seems bright and happy.

He’s back! Cheeky Charlie returns.

Charlie arrived on Fridays 3rd September in the afternoon.
Charlie certainly knew where he was, he was instantly at home and unbothered by anything. He is more playful on the first day compared to last time. He had some dreamies then played with a toy sprayed with catnip.

Saturday 4th the weather was much colder overnight therefore I put the heater up for Charlie, he was eager for his breakfast. We had a good cuddle, he is full of character as per usual. We had a play with his toys in the afternoon, although he seemed more interested in my hoodie strings than his toys.

Sunday 5th Charlie is brilliant at using his litter tray. His tray is being changed about five times a day , he only has a little bladder but everything is working as it should. Charlie had a groom today, he saw the brush as more of a toy.

Overall Charlie is a little legend. full of energy and appetite as per usual.
